Comfortplay combines optimal impact absorption with excellent drainage properties. That’s why Comfortplay is the ideal surface for children's playgrounds and sports fields.

Comfortplay complies with strict European standards for impact protection. According to European guidelines, the surface beneath playground equipment must meet a so-called "impact criterion." The standard (NEN-EN 1177) states that the higher the playground equipment, the greater the required maximum impact absorption of the surface material. The effectiveness of the surface material is determined based on the HIC value (HIC = Head Injury Criterion).

Impact absorption and drainage

Comfortplay is a system that not only guarantees excellent impact absorption but also offers the benefits of very high drainage capacity. Even after heavy rainfall, no water remains on the play surface.

System structure

Comfortplay consists of one or two base layers of shock-absorbing, thermally bonded XPE flakes, covered with a geotextile that serves as a filter fabric. These high-quality protective mats are specially developed for their preventive application and have a precisely determined thickness, density, and composition. Artificial grass is applied as the top layer.

Artificial grass for impact absorption also contains specially developed artificial grass fibres.

Comfortplay is easy to install. The panels feature dovetail joints, allowing them to be easily “clicked” together.
